What is UTM Parser?

UTM Parser is a tool for decrypting advertising links. Takes a URL with UTM parameters and shows each parameter separately - source, channel, campaign, etc.

Parsing example

Link:

https://example.com/sale?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=summer_2026&utm_content=banner_top&utm_term=buy+sneakers

Disassembled:

utm_source → google
utm_medium → cpc
utm_campaign → summer_2026
utm_content → banner_top
utm_term → buy sneakers
Base URL → https://example.com/sale

Why do we need a parser?

1. Tag audit - check if all campaigns are tagged correctly

2. Debugging - find errors in parameters before launching

3. Reports - quickly read what a specific link does

4. Documentation - help colleagues understand the labels

Automatic parsing in Google Sheets

=REGEXEXTRACT(A1, "utm_source=([^&]+)")
=REGEXEXTRACT(A1, "utm_medium=([^&]+)")
=REGEXEXTRACT(A1, "utm_campaign=([^&]+)")

Parse your UTM links instantly - insert any advertising link and see all the parameters.
