Generate an Email QR code with pre-filled recipient and subject.
An email QR code encodes a mailto: URI. When scanned, the phone opens the default email client with pre-filled To, Subject, and (optionally) Body fields. The user adds their message and taps Send.
Format: mailto:[email protected]?subject=Invoice%20%23456&body=Payment%20attached
Invoice payments: Print a QR on paper invoices. The subject line is pre-filled with the invoice number: Invoice #456 - Payment Confirmation. The customer scans, attaches proof of payment, and sends. Your accounting team can filter and route by subject line.
Support requests: Print on product packaging, user manuals, or warranty cards. Subject: Support Request - [Product Name]. This routes to the correct support queue and gives the team context before the customer writes a word.
Feedback collection: Print on receipts, packaging inserts, or exit signage. Subject: Feedback - [Store/Service Name]. Pre-filled body: Service date: ___. Rating (1-5): ___. Comments:. This structure makes feedback actionable rather than freeform.
Warranty registration: Print on the product box. Subject: Warranty Registration - [Model]. Body: Serial number: ___. Purchase date: ___.
The subject line is your routing mechanism. Use a consistent template:
Invoice #[NUMBER] - [ACTION]Support - [PRODUCT] - [ISSUE TYPE]Feedback - [LOCATION] - [DATE]This allows email rules (Gmail filters, Outlook rules) to automatically sort incoming messages to the right folder or team member.
Always print the email address as text next to the QR: [email protected]. Not everyone can scan.
Open Email QR Generator, set up a support email with a templated subject line, and print a test on your next invoice run.
