Create a Location QR code from GPS coordinates.
A location QR code encodes geographic coordinates. When scanned, the phone opens its default maps app (Google Maps on Android, Apple Maps on iPhone) with a pin at the exact location. No address to type, no searching, no wrong turns.
Event venues: Print the QR on tickets, confirmation emails, and entrance signage. Attendees scan and get turn-by-turn navigation directly to the door, not just the street address (which can point to the wrong building entrance).
Pickup points: Delivery services, BOPIS (buy online, pick up in store), and curbside pickup all benefit from precise coordinates. The customer scans the QR in their confirmation email and navigates to the exact pickup spot -- not "somewhere near the building."
Warehouse and loading dock locations: Print QR codes on delivery instructions sent to truck drivers. The code opens navigation to the specific loading bay, not the front office.
Parking spots: Place a QR on your parking confirmation email. Especially useful for large venues, airports, and multi-level garages where "Level 3, Section B" is not enough.
40.748817, -73.985428).Use at least 6 decimal places for accuracy within 10 cm. Five decimal places gives ~1 meter accuracy, which is sufficient for most use cases.
Always add a label or place name in the QR metadata. Without it, the maps app shows only raw coordinates, and the user has no confirmation that they are navigating to the right place. A label like "Convention Center - North Entrance" instantly confirms the destination.
Drop a pin on your venue's exact entrance in Google Maps, copy the coordinates, and generate a location QR in Location QR Generator.
