Subtitle translation requires preserving timestamps while translating only the text content. Our tool processes SRT block-by-block: timestamps remain unchanged, only the text lines are translated. Note that translated text may be longer than the original (German and Russian tend to be 15-30% longer than English), which can cause timing mismatches for fast speech. Our tool flags subtitle blocks where translated text exceeds the safe 21 characters/second reading speed threshold.
